About JBMO
The Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO) is an esteemed mathematics competition for students aged 15.5 years or younger. Organized by the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe (MASSEE), the event brings together participants from its member countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey.
A new beginning
The Municipality of Buzău has the distinct honor of hosting the 2026 Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, a prestigious event that brings together excellence, passion, and the competitive spirit of young mathematicians from the participating countries. It is a joy for our community to be part of an initiative that promotes education, excellence, and international collaboration. We wish all participants great success and hope that their time in Buzău will not only be full of academic achievements, but also filled with wonderful experiences and unforgettable memories.
